Common questions
- When does the Daily change?
- A new Echo appears at midnight UTC, so the switch happens at the same moment for everyone in the world. The number in the title (Echo #977, for example) counts the days since the first puzzle.
- I bought Echo+ but the Archive is still locked.
- Open Settings in Echo and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account that made the purchase.
- How do I cancel the annual subscription?
- Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Echo+. Cancelling keeps Echo+ until the end of the period already paid for. The lifetime unlock never expires.
- Refunds
- Apple handles all App Store refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Echo creates an anonymous player ID on first launch so your streak and results can be saved. Sign in with Apple is optional and only matters if you want the same progress on another device.
- My streak or history is missing on a new phone.
- Progress moves between devices only if you signed in with Apple on the old one. Sign in on the new device from Settings → Account and your results will merge.
- The daily reminder does not arrive.
- Check that notifications are allowed for Echo in iOS Settings → Notifications, then toggle the reminder off and on again in Echo's Settings.
- How do I delete my data?
- Email us from the device the app is installed on, or quote your player ID (Settings → Identity), and we will delete your player ID and everything stored under it within 30 days. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device itself.
